Dealing with conflict

Kindness is the gracious gesture of compassion; it is our recognition that another person deserves the same love we give ourselves.

It bridges our isolation and reminds us we are all connected at the core of our beings.  Kindness is defined as being friendly, considerate, and generous.

We often describe people who are kind as being gentle and warm and having concern for others.  Kindness means different things to different people. But one thing is clear— kindness is a choice anyone can make.  Kindness is not for sissies.  It takes courage and strength to be kind, especially when incivility appears to be rampant.

Next week I will look at how kindness helps us personally as well as the outside world.
